Twitter - CPL 2.0

Twitter is a communication tool which allows people to be connected and share information between each other.
I suppose it is popular among certain groups of our society.
Personally, I am not a fan of it.
I searched Twitter on some topics I am interested. Twitter didn't provide me with relevant or useful information.
When I checked out CPL accounts I found information about library programs and events.
I thought that information we are posting should be current or at least updated regularly.
What about "READ AWAY YOUR FINES. ALL DAY. TODAY! AT SHAWNESSY"?
Very confusing.

LibraryThing - CPL 2.0

I found this site is user-friendly and easy to navigate so far.
I enjoyed seeing other people's reviews about books you've read or you are planing to read.

Online Productivity Tools. Calendars - CPL 2.0

I don't think that I am going to use these tools . I will stick to more traditional methods.
I guess I am old fashion after all.

Flickr and YouTube - CPL 2.0

Flickr and You Tube are user-friendly websites. I was able to find videos and images on a lot of subjectes. YouTube is a great video sharing site.

Google Universe - CPL 2.0

I am a big fan of Google.
Google is a great search engine. I use Google frequently. First of all it's very user friendly.
Also it gives you a lot of options to choose from. I particularly like Google Map and Google Earth.
I also tried Google Translator which list over 40 languages.I highly recommend Google to our customers.

RSS - CPL 2.0

I set up my RSS feed with no problems. I added to my feeds "CBC News"

Social Networking - CPL 2.0

Facebook is a very popular social network. A lot of people use it. But I prefer not to sign up on Facebook.
My son has an account and he spends to much time on it in my opinion.
I'm very busy I put a lot of volunteering hours for different organizations for my kids. I am already spending a lot of time working on the computer. So for me Facebook is a time - waster.

Wikipedia - CPL 2.0

I looked up various articles in different languages, but didn't find any grammatical or spelling mistakes.
And I didn't make any editing, so I will leave editing to other people.
Because it's so easy to edit any of the articles I would be very careful from now on to recommend Wikipedia to the customers.
But Wikipedia is a great tool to start getting information on any subject.
I will continue to use Wikipedia as my reference tool, but with caution.

Delicious - CPL 2.0

I found Delicious not really user friendly.
I don't often use delicious. It's not one of my favourite reference tools to use.
However I will try to use Delicious more often.
As technology develops we must update our knowledge regularly in order to provide service to our customers as expected.

Creating the Blog - CPL 2.0

What I hope to learn from this exercise is how and why I am going to use this in the future? However, I am interested to do whatever it takes to learn this technololgy so that I can help customers to learn it also.

Also, I'm afraid of putting my private comments onto this blog and then having them made public!!!
